We invite you to help support our efforts in allowing some of the nation's most talented scientists and engineers innovate and create. As a tax exempt not-for-profit organization we provide fellowships tenable at over 40 of the nation's finest universities for graduate work leading to award of the Ph.D. degree in applications of the physical, biological and engineering sciences.
Hertz Fellows are leaders and innovators in the public and private sectors. Their patents, inventions, teaching skills, business acumen and research have contributed substantially to the nation's well-being. Hertz Fellows have won more than 149 national and international science and engineering awards including the Nobel Prize. Over 100 Hertz Fellows have served as major corporate officers and Hertz Fellows have founded at least 68 start-up companies. There are more than 500 patents held by Hertz Fellows.
